Rubber Skunk is bringing more than Easter Eggs this upcoming Easter Weekend! He’s bringing some rockin funk tunes to the World Famous Waiting Room! Come down on the Saturday before Easter to Rahway’s best bar for a performance that will leave you hoppin and boppin down that bunny trail!

Rubber Skunk is happy to announce that we will be performing this Friday October 12th at the Bitter End in NYC in support of the Group Of Nihilists Association for Doomsday Support (GONADS), who urge us to have absolutely no reaction to the impending end of the world.

A four hour truth lecture will be held directly after the performance in which the GONADS will reiterate the urgency of their lack of any discerning stance towards the matter.

Oyster crackers and tap water will be served.  Show starts at 10:30.

We recently had the opportunity to record at THI studios in Brooklyn.  This place is one of the few studios left that has the ability to record and mix to 1/4″ tape.  The head engineer Robert Honablue has worked with renowned artists such as Led Zeppelin, Miles Davis, and The Weather Report to name a few.  We recorded Futureman, one of our brand spankin new tracks, and not a single analog to digital converter was used.  Check it out!

It’s been quite a while since we’ve been back to our hometown of Newark DE to play one of our favorite local spots at the Homegrown Cafe!  Come grab a tasty (or several) craft brews this Friday August 17th and see what the Skunk is cookin!  We’ve been working on some fresh new music that we’re excited to play for yall, so make sure to come check it out!

In May Rubber Skunk took part in a collective of art, music and fashion, the RAW Menagerie.  Here is an interview from the event!

Come check out the skunk at Club Groove in NYC on May 12 from 7:30 to 9:00!  This venue is a pretty special place with a great atmosphere.  It will be a great way to kick off your Friday night – with some funk in da trunk with the Skunk shootin junk in the bunk*!  Can’t wait to see you all there!

* Note: Rhymes in official Rubber Skunk songs may or may not exceed the level of maturity and development seen in this sentence.  We take no responsibility for poor rhyming and/or phrasing.

We have been invited to play the RAW Menagerie showcase, a celebration of art, music, photography, makeup and more!

From their website:

RAW:natural born artists is an independent arts organization that hand-selects and spotlights independent creatives in visual art, film, fashion, music, hair & makeup artistry, photography, models and performing art.

You can buy tickets at http://www.rawartists.org/newyork/menagerie.  Make sure to tell them you’re going to support Rubber Skunk!
